Two seniors from Fort Osage High School have been chosen as Rotary Club of Independence Students of the Month.

• Tess Kinne is a member of the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society at Fort Osage. She has also been active in the Future Farmers of America, having served as the parliamentarian, the vice president and the president of this group.

Tess has also been involved in sports, serving as a manager of the school football team and having been a member of the school’s varsity wrestling team. Tess excelled at wrestling, being the 2019 Class I district 4 champion and placing fourth in the 2019 state wrestling competition.

Tess plans to study agricultural education at Missouri Valley College, where she also hopes to continue her wrestling career.

Tess is the daughter of Molly and Brian Kinne.

• Eliot Chastain has excelled academically while at Fort Osage. He has also been involved in the school soccer team, making all conference and district teams in 2018 and 2019.

Eliot plans to go to M.U. to study electrical engineering.

His parents are Debbie Wrenfrow and Mac Chastain.
