St. Mark Catholic Church still plans to host its 47th annual St. Joseph Table fundraiser from 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.
The event consists of a cookie and baked goods sale, a raffle and meatless spaghetti dinner (meatballs available if desired). Dinner cost is a freewill donation, and cannolis will be sold at $3 apiece ($16 for box of six). Proceeds go to the St. Vincent de Paul Society to assist the needy in the community.
St. Joseph's Table originates from a Sicilian celebration banquet in thanksgiving to the people's patron saint for rain that ended a crippling drought. Organizers said St. Mark was recently invited to share some cookies and display items for the National St. Joseph Table in Los Angeles.
