Vesper Hall Community Center, 400 N.W. Vesper Street, Blue Springs: Vesper Hall will be closed until, at least, April 5.
Sermon Center, 201 N. Dodgion St., Independence, is closed until further notice.
Truman Memorial Building, 416 W. Maple Ave., Independence, is closed until further notice.
Fairmount Community Center, 217 S. Cedar, Independence, 816-254-8334, will continue to be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. Most activities will be canceled, but the center will continue to offer the use of computers and wifi as well as a place to spend the day. Lunch will be served as usual but it will also be possible to order a lunch to pick up on a drive-thru basis. Please reserve lunches 24 hours in advance by calling the center.
The Grain Valley Community Center, 713 Main St., Grain Valley, 816-847-6230, will be closed for all activities until March 28. The phone will be answered for calls with questions.
Mid-Continent Public Libraries: All Mid-Continent Public Library branches will be closed to the public until, at least, March 31.
Kansas City Public Libraries: All library locations are closed until further notice. Patrons are asked not to return books and other library materials via our outside drop boxes even if the items are due for return. There is no penalty as the library does not charge fines for overdue materials.
Crossroads Hospice, 14210 E. 42nd St., South Unit, Independence, has canceled all groups, including the Spousal Survivor Support Group.
National Frontier Trails Museum: Closed until further notice.
Truman Home: Tours begin at 9 a.m., 219 N. Delaware St., Independence. You must get your free ticket at the park visitor center at 223 N. Main St. Cost: Call 816-254-9929 ahead of time to inquire what tours are available for the day.
Community of Christ International Headquarters: All World Church sites are now closed to the public and World Church-sponsored events are canceled through at least April 12. This includes the Temple Complex, Peace Pavilion and all historic sites.The Auditorium is at 101 W. Walnut Ave.; the Temple is at 201 S. River Blvd. (They are across the street from each other).
