As part of the area “stay at home” order and from the latest recommendations of health officials, the city of Blue Springs will close all playgrounds at city parks starting Wednesday through at least April 24.

City parks and trails will remain open and available for biking and walking to help the health of citizens. Park patrons are reminded to observe ideal social distancing (6 feet) for such uses. Park water fountains and restrooms are closed.

Playgrounds in Independence and Lee’s Summit are also closed as part of “stay at home.” The Jackson County Parks + Rec trails and Lee’s Summit park trails also remain open to the public.
