Kavanaugh named to Capital President’s List


Hannah Kavanaugh of Independence has been named to the President’s List at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. The President’s List honors students who have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.85 and is the highest level of academic distinction at the University. Ms. Kavanaugh has also been recently named as the Outstanding Flutist at the University. She is a graduate of Fort Osage High School.


Ruiz de Chavez earns academic honors at Bob Jones U.


Alexander Ruiz de Chavez, of Independence, is a junior accounting major at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. This spring he was named to the Dean’s List which recognizes students who have earned a grade point average between 3.0 and 3.74.


Blue Springs’ Hill named to Olivet Nazarene Dean’s List


Michael Hill, of Blue Springs, is a student at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois. Mr. Hill was named to the Dean’s List which recognizes students who have earned a grade point average of 3.50 or higher.


Three local students earn dean’s list honors at Westminster


Zachary Eisenreich, Loren Etris, and Devonte Hubbard, of Eastern Jackson County, have been named to the Dean’s List at Westminster College in Fulton Missouri. These students qualified for the Dean’s List by exhibiting exemplary academic performance this year.
