The Independence Community Ice Rink at Cable Dahmer Arena will reopen Monday with stricter guidelines for social distancing and COVID-19 considerations.
Patrons will be asked to follow social distancing, which includes remaining 6 feet apart. Areas off limits will be marked by tape, paint or signs and events. Activities will have predetermined attendance and participation limits and those participating will be allowed in the building only 15 minutes before the event and allowed to stay only up to 15 minutes after it.
All customers and employees will be required to wear facemasks, and employees will be required to wear gloves. Employees will conduct regular cleaning in between scheduled events and in high touch areas. Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the rink.
Entryways and exits will be one way only and marked and locker rooms will remain closed. Hockey players must have their gear on before entering the rink, and athletes are allowed only one spectator, parent or guardian per player.
