Ozite Evelyn Hall

February 3, 1923 – November 9, 2022 Ozite Evelyn Hall, 99, of Lexington passed away November 9, 2022, at her home. Visitation will be Friday, November 11, 2022, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. A funeral service will be Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Dover Christian Church in Dover. Burial will follow in Dover Cemetery. Ozite was born in West Columbia, Texas. She was the daughter of Thomas and Hilda Rapstein and had one younger brother, Kirby Rapstein of Brazoria, Texas. Ozite spent her early years in Texas attending West Columbia schools and Baylor College at Beltram, Texas. She helped in the war effort by expediting parts for Army Air Corp units in the South Pacific. She met and married her first husband Everette Cohron while working and living in San Antonio. Everette Cohron was lost in action in the South Pacific in 1943. Ozite met and married George W. Hall at Fort Sam Houston in Bexar, Texas in 1945 following his return from battle with Patton’s Third Army. Following the war Ozite and George moved to Dover, Mo., and established their lifelong home. Ozite was a homemaker and active in the Dover community along with raising her family. She taught Sunday school for nearly 50 years at Dover Christian Church, was room mother for her children at Dover school and Lexington schools. She supported Dover Scout Troop receiving 2 eagle pins. An event that Ozite always enjoyed was providing trick or treat candy for area children and guessing who was behind each costume. Ozite was always in attendance at her children’s and grandchildren’s football, basketball, baseball, wrestling, cheerleading and academic events. Ozite’s life was centered on providing for and loving her family, but she extended her family to include her community as well.

Ozite was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Hall; her son, Everette Hall of Dover; her parents; and her brother.

She is survived by her children Randy Hall and wife Pat of Lexington, John (Chip) Hall and wife Linda of Grain Valley, Cindy Magnifico and husband Pete of Lexington, Tina Durham and husband Hank of Oak Grove. She is also survived by eight grandchildren April Smith and husband Aaron, Scott Hall and wife Amanda, Matt Durham and wife Megan, Cindy Dudenhoffer and husband Brad, Sarah McKee and husband Denny, Erin Meade and husband Robert, Nicholas Magnifico and wife Nicole, and Christina Magnifico, and 11 great-grandchildren.
