The Truman boys golf team claimed 17th place in the 21-team Raymore-Peculiar Invitational Friday.

Carter Wiley fired a 93 to lead the way for the Patriots on the par-72 Hoots Hollow course at Country Creek Golf Club.

Damon Freers (97), Logan Freers (109) and Jacob Freers (114) completed the scoring for the Patriots, who posted a 412 team score.

WILDCATS FINISH 12TH: Tim Berg fired a personal-best 85 over 18 holes to lead Blue Springs to a 12th-place showing in the 18-team Park Hill Invitational Thursday.

The Wildcats totaled 362 at the par-72 Tiffany Hills Golf Club. Taylor Muller shot 89, Ben Podjenski and Peyton Jacobs each fired a 94 and Zach Van Dorn carded a 99 for the Wildcats.

“It was a personal best for Ben Podjenski as well and a third straight match showing improvement for (us), shaving about 80 strokes off their first match,” Blue Springs coach Doug Gillispie said.
