The Blue Springs volleyball team rebounded from a tough loss to rival Blue Springs South and captured a 27-25, 25-13 home victory over Suburban Big Seven foe Raymore-Peculiar Thursday.
“This was a very solid night for our squad,” Blue Springs coach Katie Grusing said. “We got positive contributions from every kid we put on the court, and we played well together. We served aggressively and showed improvement in our passing.”
Haley Rothove led the Wildcats (3-2, 1-1 conference) with nine kills against the Panthers. Hannah Vanriette added six and Caroline Foster chipped in with five. Jaden Osborne led the team with nine digs and Aliyah Bello had five.
STALEY 25-25, FORT OSAGE 12-16: Fort Osage couldn’t recover from a slow start and suffered a loss in its Suburban Middle Six opener Thursday.
The host Indians dropped to 4-3-1 overall and 0-1 in the conference.
