The Blue Springs South girls swimming and diving team continues to dominate in dual meets.

The Jaguars claimed 11 wins in 12 events to total 518 points and top St. Teresa’s Academy (463) and Smithville (194) Tuesday at the Blue Springs Family YMCA.

Lauren Markley and McKenzie MacLean each recorded a pair of wins to lead the way for South. Markley triumphed in the 50-yard freestyle in 27.09 seconds and the 500 freestyle in 5 minutes, 51.16 seconds, both state consideration times. MacLean won the 100 butterfly (1:09.15) and 100 breaststroke (1:21.47).

Bailey Carter (262.00) and Delaney Jackson (244.50) continued to dominate 1-meter diving, finishing 1-2 again, while Autumn Campbell was fourth (186.30).

Kirsten Markley won the 100 freestyle in a state consideration time of 58.47 and took second behind her sister in the 50 free, also in a state consideration time of 27.55.

Raegan Hecker (2:10.12) edged teammates Anna Zweerink (2:10.34) and Gabby Fournier (2:11.48) to win the 200 freestyle. Maelyn MacLean won the 200 individual medley (2:34.04) and the Jaguars swept all three relays.
