The Fort Osage baseball team couldn’t make up for falling behind early twice Friday.
Liberty North used strong starts to sweep the Indians 10-0 and 17-5 in a doubleheader at Fort Osage High School.
Liberty North grabbed a 5-0 lead after three innings and cruised to the 10-0 win in the first game.
The Indians managed just three hits. Zane Barr allowed just two hits but five runs in three innings to suffer the loss.
Bryce Dye went 2-for-3, hitting two doubles and driving in three but it wasn’t enough for the Indians in the 17-5 loss.
Liberty North scored four runs in the first inning and added two in the second and five in the third to take control.
Steven Orwick suffered the loss.
