The Grain Valley girls soccer team kept it rolling Tuesday.

The Eagles, behind another hat trick from all-state senior Rylan Childers, drubbed North Kansas City 10-0 in the semifinals of the Raytown Schools Tournament.

The Eagles advance to today’s 7:30 p.m. championship against Summit Christian Academy at Raytown South High School.

Childers, who now has 36 goals this season, added two assists, while sister Raena Childers added two goals and Kailey Boyer added two goals and two assists.

Marissa Schmitt totaled a goal and three assists, Kailey Larson had a goal and an assist and Sophie Broockerd added a goal, and Danni Timmons and Julie Azcona each chipped in an assist for the Eagles, who improved to 14-2-1 overall and are ranked No. 6 in the Class 3 state poll.

OAK GROVE 1, KANSAS CITY EAST 0: Oak Grove advanced to today’s semifinals in the Kansas City Cup by edging the Kansas City East Bears Wednesday at Bingham Middle School.

Chloee Tripp scored the only goal the Panthers needed as they improved to 10-5 overall.

Oak Grove faces Lincoln Prep in a semifinal at 5:30 p.m. today at Van Horn High School.

LEE’S SUMMIT NORTH 7, RAYMORE-PECULIAR 1: Lee’s Summit North ended a tough stretch with a rout of Raymore-Peculiar in a Suburban Big Seven match Tuesday.

Kaylie Rock scored five goals to lead the way for the Broncos (5-8, 3-4), who had lost six of their last seven entering the match.

Halle Hill added a goal and two assists, Jayme Coon added a goal, and Cara Panarisi, Madelyn Robinson and Hailey Englund each chipped in with an assist.

“Our performance tonight was the opposite of the previous night,” North coach Ryan Kelley said, referring to a 5-2 loss to Blue Springs South on Monday. “We came out with great energy and played our best match of the season. We were able to get into a rhythm of possession and moved the ball well to get our attack going.”
