ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Kansas City Comets claimed a 4-3 comeback win in their only exhibition of the 2018-19 preseason.

Ramone Palmer scored with just 1:10 left to complete the rally and lead the Comets to the win over the host St. Louis Ambush Saturday at the Family Arena in St. Charles.

The Ambush grabbed a 3-1 lead before the Comets rallied for the win.

Penalties on Alain Matingou and Odaine Sinclair gave St. Louis a 5-on-3 advantage. St. Louis capitalized for a goal with 11:12 left to go ahead 3-1.

Ramone Palmer got the Comets within a goal before Lucas Rodriguez was able to capitalize on an Ambush mistake and tie it. Then with 1:10 to play, Rodriguez found himself deep in the Ambush attacking zone and passed to a wide open Ramone Palmer for the winning score.

Bryan Perez scored Kansas City’s first goal to tie it 1-1 less than two minutes into the second quarter.

The Comets now prepare for their regular season opener Saturday at the Milwaukee Wave. Kansas City opens its home schedule Dec. 15 at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena against Milwaukee.
