The Blue Springs South girls swimming and diving team got strong performances from Gabby Fournier, Anna Zweerink and Raegan Hecker to win a five-team meet Friday.

South finished with 585 points, Lee’s Summit North was second (468), Liberty was third (465), Grain Valley was fourth (311) and Belton was fifth (308).

Hecker won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.39 seconds and finished second in the 200 free in 2:16.08. Zweerink was first in the 500 free (5:49.05) and third in the 50 free (27.52), and Fournier was first in the 100 butterfly (1:06.36) and fifth in the 500 free (6:14.78). Those three and Maelyn MacLean were a part of the first-place 200 medley relay team (2:00.16), and that same team won the 400 free relay (4:00.4) for the Jaguars.

MacLean was second in the 200 individual medley (2:32.47); Giuliana Biscari was fourth in the 1-meter diving event (183.45 points); Anna Ryan was second in the 100 butterfly (1:13.28); Paige Tucker was third in the 100 backstroke (1:16.98); and Addyson Ingersoll was fourth (1:18.02) for the Jaguars.

For Lee’s Summit North, Macie Menges won the 200 free (2:12.82); Annie McCord won diving (221.40); the 200 medley relay team of Hayden Bentley, Maggie Phillips, Olivia Neidt and Madison Goff took second (2:04.31); Kim Le took fourth in the 100 butterfly (1:14.98); Morgan Andersen was second in the 50 free (26.68) and Bentley was fourth (27.70); Bentley took second in the 100 free (1:00.21); the 200 free relay team of Menges, Serena Springer, Neidt and Haylee Martin took fourth (2:00.91); and Neidt was second in the 100 breaststroke (1:22.43), while Olivia Reilly was fourth (1:27.41). Menges, Andersen, Amelia Bresette and Martin took fourth in the 400 free relay (4:20.87).

For Grain Valley, Rachel Turpin took first in the 200 IM (2:24.03) and second in the 500 free (5:58.11); Hayden Meyer took second in diving (199.55) and Abigail Castle took fifth (180.85); Bailey Reich took second in the 100 backstroke (1:16.81) and Ella Boyle was fifth in the 100 breaststroke (1:27.42). The 400 free relay team of Maddie Epple, Alyssa Hanenkratt, Reich and Turpin took fifth (4:26.57).
