The Lee’s Summit North wrestling team earned a pair of non-conference victories Wednesday night.
The Broncos topped host William Chrisman 49-30 and routed Raytown 58-15. Chrisman bounced back from the loss to North with a 42-23 Suburban Middle Seven win over the Blue Jays.
Lee’s Summit North had four pins in the first five matches on the way to the 49-30 win over Chrisman.
Adrian Castenada (160 pounds) recorded a pin in just 30 seconds to start the match. After Mason Walters (170) got a third-period pin over Lane Overton to tie it 6-6, Zane Ragland (182), Aaron Barnhill (195) and Logan Thornton (220) all recorded pins to grab a 24-6 lead.
Lyle Phillips (145) also won by fall, Triston Jones (152) won a 10-2 major decision and Ryan McNeel (132) won an 8-6 sudden victory for the Broncos.
David Toese (285), Kash Ocobock (113) and Jose Muravilla (126) also had pins for Chrisman.
Lee’s Summit North capitalized on five forfeit wins in the win over Raytown. Ragland (182), Barnhill (195) and Caden Schweitzer (113) won with pins. Jones (152) won a 13-0 major decision.
