The Blue Springs South girls basketball team used a balanced scoring attack to advance to the consolation finals of the North Kansas City Tournament.
Seneea Bevley scored 15 points to help spark the Jaguars to a 59-32 win over Columbia Hickman in a consolation semifinal Wednesday.
The Jaguars (12-6) will take on Park Hill South at 6:30 p.m. today for fifth place in the tournament.
Blue Springs South led 15-12 after one quarter and pulled away by outscoring the Kewpies 13-5 in the second quarter for a 28-17 halftime advantage.
Elizabeth Ernsting added 13 points, Logan Abernathy had 12 and Lauren Gillig contributed 11 to help spark the Jaguars, who have won six of their last seven games.
