The Blue Springs South girls soccer team got standout offensive performances from Brie Severns and Khaliana Garrett as they topped Raymore-Peculiar 4-2 Monday in Suburban Big Six Conference action.
Severns had two of the Jaguars (4-1, 1-0) first four goals, all of which were scored in the first half. Garrett had one goal and three assists and Kennedi Hooks scored the team’s other goal.
“It was a tough conference game at Ray-Pec, against a gritty, well-coached team,” South coach Todd Findley said. Ray-Pec works hard and had some dangerous attacks on us, but we survived their early looks and our attack took over.”
FORT OSAGE 5, OAK PARK 0: The Indians remain undefeated in the Suburban Middle Seven Conference as they improved to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in the conference during a win over the Oakies.
Aliyah Ayala led Fort Osage with two goals and Sophia Calderon, Madison Beckmann and Megan Lyon each had one goal.
