The Blue Springs South Jaguars fell 5-4 in a non-conference match against the Park Hill South Panthers Monday.

No. 3 Jaguars singles player Sammy Klosener won 10-7, No. 5 Jason Epps won 10-6 and Kye Reid won 10-4 at No. 6.

In doubles play, the No. 3 team of Will Sheridan and Epps won 8-5.

No. 1 singles player Sean Nguyen came close to a win, but fell 11-9.

“The guys played a good team tonight and we came up a little short,” South coach Nathan Mooney said. “I hate losing the close ones, but the kids fought hard until the end.”
