The William Chrisman girls soccer team continues to roll as it stayed undefeated after a 5-1 win over Belton in a Suburban Middle Seven Conference contest Thursday.
Tierra Lopez led Chrisman (5-0) with two goals and Rylee LaRoche and Kayli Perez each had one. Perez and Celeste Cummins each added an assist.
GRAIN VALLEY 13, GRANDVIEW 0: The Eagles had nine different players score as they rolled to a mercy-rule victory over the Bulldogs Thursday at home in Suburban Small Seven Conference action.
Raena Childers led Grain Valley with a hat trick; Kami Drollinger and Sophie Broockerd each had two goals; and Lexi Arreguin, Rian Handy, Paige Novak, Kendra Sibert, Kailyn Duett and Julie Azcona each had one for the Eagles (5-4, 3-0).
PARK HILL 4, LEE’S SUMMIT NORTH 3 (2OT): The Broncos have had a rough start to the season and that continued against Suburban Big Six Conference for Park Hill as they fell in double overtime Thursday.
Madelyn Robinson sent a cross in front of the goal which Kaylie Rock tucked away to give North a 1-0 lead in the first half. Park Hill later tied the game at 1-all after scoring from 25 yards out.
The 1-1 score held until halftime before Park Hill scored two goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half to take a 3-1 lead. Later, Jayme Coon beat her defender on the left flank and sent in a low cross that Rock put in the back of the net for her second goal of the night. A couple of minutes later, Coon hit a corner that found its way through a tight gap and pay the goalie to tie it. But the Trojans ended up scoring the winning goal in double overtime to drop the Broncos to 1-6 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
