A slow start cost the Lee’s Summit North girls soccer team in a 2-1 loss to Suburban Big Six Conference rival Lee’s Summit West Friday.
"Lee’s Summit West is a good, technically sound team that is able to play multiple styles,” North coach Ryan Kelley said. “They possess the ball well and get players up into the attack in a way they create mismatches with their numbers.”
The Titans led 1-0 at halftime before Madelyn Robinson sent a cross from the right flank for Cassidy Calvin to tie the game at 1-all in the 46th minute. West scored with 12 minutes left for the game-winner. The Broncos fell to 5-9 overall and 3-4 in the conference.
