The Fort Osage wrestling team held just a 31-25 lead over Belton when heavyweight Stevie Gabb took the mat.

With the final match, 106 pounds, being a forfeit for Belton, Gabb needed a win to secure the victory. He did just that, recording a pin in 1:36 to lift the Indians to a 37-31 Suburban Middle Seven victory Tuesday.

With the match tied 10-10 after a 10-2 major decision by Fort Osage’s Dylan Reed (120), Jesse Newton (145), Jeremiah Phillips (152) and Josh Rieck (160) reeled off three straight pins to give the Indians control. Jake Jones (195) took a 1-0 decision to set up Gabb’s decisive win.
