Another tough effort came up short for the Fort Osage boys basketball team in the tough Suburban Middle Seven Conference.
The Indians made a fourth-quarter run at the host Ruskin Eagles but were unable to grab the lead and fell 69-56 Wednesday night.
Fort Osage dropped to 1-7 in the conference and 6-12 overall despite 22 points from Triston Turner.
"We played them tough into the fourth quarter Friday night (a 56-44 loss) and played them tough tonight," Fort Osage coach Josh Wilson said. "We just had a stretch where we turned the ball over too many times and they took advantage inside on us.
"We had a chance in the fourth quarter to make it close but we just couldn’t get the score-stop combo to get us over the hump."
Ruskin grabbed a 39-27 halftime lead and took a 56-39 lead into the final quarter before Fort Osage narrowed the gap.
Xavier Kahube added 14 points and Braden Pottberg had 10 for the Indians, who have dropped four straight.
