• Grain Valley Parks and Recreation Youth Baseball and Softball Leagues registration is open. Leagues available (and individual fees and dates of eligibility) are: Boys and girls 4-year-old T-ball ($50, age 4 on or before Jan. 1, 2020); Boys T-ball ($80, born May 1, 2013-April 30, 2015); Girls T-ball ($80, Jan. 1, 2013-Dec. 31, 2014); Boys Machine Pitch ($70, May 1, 2011-April 30, 2013); Girls Machine Pitch ($70, Jan. 1, 2011-Dec. 31, 2012); Boys 10U ($80, May 1, 2009-April 30, 2011); Girls 10U ($80, Jan. 1, 2009-Dec. 31, 2010); Boys 12U ($90, May 1, 2007-April 30, 2009); Girls 12U ($90, Jan. 1, 2007-Dec. 31, 2008); Boys 14U ($100, May 1, 2005-April 30, 2007); Girls 14U ($100, Jan. 1, 2005-Dec. 31, 2006). Deadline to register is March 6 for all leagues except 4-year-old T-Ball, which is March 20. Basketball


• Tryouts: Drive5 Basketball, for players in grades 3-11, for spring/summer teams, Feb. 24 through March 26. Team opportunities for players of all experience levels from beginner to advanced. Power Elite and Select teams are very competitive, traveling teams and have a limited number of spots available. Any player not selected for Power Elite or Select will be invited to join a D1, D2, or D3 team. There is no fee to try out and all skill and experience levels welcome. Volleyball


• Blue Springs Parks and Recreation Fall Adult Sunday Coed Volleyball League begins March 22. Teams consist of 3 females and 3 males per team. Cost is $200 per team based on a 6-match schedule Sunday evenings at the Blue Springs Fieldhouse. Deadline to register is March 17.
