Mid-Continent offers ’Romance GenreCon’
The Mid-Continent Public Library will host its annual “Romance GenreCon” Aug. 7 and 8. This year, the event will be virtual at https://www.facebook.com/romancegenrecon/.
This online festival will feature some big names in romance, including:
• Beverly Jenkins, USA Today bestselling author of historical and contemporary multicultural romance.
• Cathy Maxwell, New York Times bestselling author of historical romance.
• Deb Marlowe, USA Today bestselling author of historical romance.
• Elizabeth Essex, award-winning author of historical romance.
• Eloisa James, New York Times bestselling author of historical romance.
• Janna MacGregor, Kansas City resident, attorney and acclaimed author of historical romance.
• Julia Quinn, New York Times bestselling author of historical romance whose Bridgerton series is being adapted as a Netflix series by Shonda Rhimes.
• Olivia Waite, author of LGBTQ+ historical and paranormal romance.
This event will begin at 7 p.m. on Aug. 7 with a session featuring interviews with romance authors and will continue, on Aug. 8, with events scheduled between 2 and 5:30 p.m.
