Music on the Square

The Examiner
Dozens of people gathered Saturday evening on the Independence Square to hear a Kansas City Symphony string quartet play at the former parking lot of bank teller drive-ups, which the Independence Square Association has refurbished and dubbed Liberty Lounge. The area includes a new wall mural created by Adrean Painter and giant games painted on the pavement. The Square Association received a $5,000 grant from Missouri Main Street Connection, in partnership with AARP Missouri, to refurbish the area. [Photo courtesy of Square Association]
