The Examiner

Blue Springs police are seeking information after a jewelry store was burglarized early Monday morning.

Officers responded to an alarm sounding at 6:20 a.m. Monday at the Kennedy’s Custom Jewelers store at Missouri 7 and U.S. 40.

They found a glass door had been shattered and several items had been taken. The perpetrators had already fled.

Investigators are reviewing closed-circuit television footage from the store.

Blue Springs Police spokesperson Jennifer Brady said three people were involved in the burglary, but only two entered the business. Brady said the value of the stolen items was still being determined.

Police are asking anyone with information on the burglary to call the Blue Springs Police Department at 816-228-0151 and ask for Detective Jason Floyd.
