An Oak Grove man will spend 20 years in federal prison for distributing a fatal dose of heroin nearly three years ago.

Joshua Leroux, 35, pleaded guilty last November to distributing heroin that caused a man’s death. He was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in Kansas City.

The victim, identified in court documents as “M.A.C.,” was from Arizona and visiting family in Lee’s Summit in September 2017 when Leroux supplied him with heroin. The Jackson County medical examiner determined M.A.C. died from heroin intoxication.
