Bartels speaks at Missouri S&T
Katherine Bartels, a William Chrisman graduate, was selected as a commencement speaker at her class virtual commencement ceremony this year at the Missouri University of Science & Technology in Rolla, Mo.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering in 2017 and her master’s degree in environmental engineering this spring. While at the university, she was a member of the Chi Epsilon Honor Society, the Graduate Leadership Institute, the Water Environment Federation, the Society of Women Engineers and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Bartels is a junior environmental engineer consultant for Golder Associates Inc.
Smith on dean’s list at Belmont University
Liberty Smith of Blue Springs has been named to the spring 2020 dean’s list at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. To be named to the dean's list, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5.
University of St. Mary dean’s list
Hannah Ekberg and Rebcca Gilpin, both of Independence, have been named to the spring 2020 dean’s list at the University of St. Mary in Leavenworth. Students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better to be named to the dean’s list.
Hill on dean’s list at Olivet Nazarene
Michael Hill of Blue Springs was named to the dean’s list at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois. The dean’s list recognizes students who have earned a grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
Three on dean’s list at Westminster College
Zachary Eisenreich of Blue Springs, Loren Etris of Grain Valley and Devonte Hubbard of Blue Springs have been named to the dean’s list at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri.
Degree with honors for Rizzi
Michael Rizzi of Blue Springs graduated magna cum laude this month from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa with a bachelor of science degree in biology. He was also named to the dean’s list this spring.
Gregory graduates from Central College
Hanna Gregory of Independence graduated from Central College in Pella, Iowa, in December with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
MidAmerica Nazarene announces honor roll
MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe has named the local students to the spring 2020 honor roll, including Caleb Savage of Blue Springs as well as Jose Enamorado, Cassandra Pearson and Samantha Smith, all of Independence.
