Who was your most inspirational teacher and why?

My most inspirational teacher, although not technically a teacher, would have to be Mrs. (Tammie) Glasgow. She has always gone above and beyond her duties as a guidance counselor to answer any questions quickly and with full bodied responses, especially this year with college applications and such. She also helped me to step back and breathe to manage stress and find perspective when I find myself overwhelmed. My most inspirational teacher is Mr. (Steve) Loecker, my junior year chemistry teacher and academic knowledge bowl coach. He really sparked my interest in science and provided the first classes I had taken that were truly challenging with an element of humor, which kept it from being frustrating.

What college are you attending and why did you pick that school?

I will be attending Truman State University; I picked this school because it has programs which will help me achieve my goals, an admissions team which has made me feel incredibly welcome, and a location which will give me room to be independent without being too far from home (affordable tuition is also a big plus).

What are your plans after college?

After college I plan to go to dentistry school and start a practice in a rural area, as many are severely lacking in attainable dental care.
