Who was your most inspirational teacher and why?

All of my teachers were super inspirational so it's really hard to pick only one, but the teacher who I think had the most impact on me isn’t even from my high school years. In second grade I had Mr. Ian Carle at Fairmount Elementary. He really created my love for school and made every day fun and exciting. I'd also like to mention Ms. Christina Fatool, who taught me in first grade and gave me my love of reading as well as Ms. Debbie Cox, Mr. Ted Diepenbrock, Mr. Adam Surrey and Ms. Angela Weatherford. All of these teachers have made such a huge difference in my life and all of them have inspired me to go farther than I could have ever imagined, and I thank them so much for all they have done for me.

What college are you attending and why did you pick that school?

I am attending Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. I chose Drury because the campus is small, beautiful and I have been in love with the college since the first time I visited it. I plan to major in biology, minor in writing and in women’s and gender studies.

What are your plans after college?

After college I plan to go to medical school. Afterwards I plan to go into the field of medicine, either in gynecology or geriatrics.
