Busy schedule at Mid-Continent Public Library

The Mid-Continent Public Library has a full schedule of virtual events.

The library also offers curbside pickup of materials reserved online and well as the normal outside book drops.

Library patrons can go inside for up to 90 minutes – 90 minutes per person per day – for limited services such as photocopying, printing, faxing and the use of a public computer.

This next week’s events include:

Virtual Storytime: 10 a.m. Sunday. Stories for kids and adults.

Mad Science Zoom Classroom Event: 2 p.m. Monday. Find out how electricity works. Pre-registration is required and there is a waiting list for this event.

Fractured Fairy Tales with the Fishin’ Magicians: 4 p.m. Monday. Enjoy silly stories and surprising magic.

Virtual ELL Classes (Zoom), Clases Virtuales de Ingles: 7 p.m., Monday. This class is full and there is a waiting list. Advance registration is required.

Mr. Stinky Feet: Summer Fun Songs: 10 a.m. Tuesday. Songs about summer fun.

Blue Ribbon Book Group: 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Virtual ELL Classes (Zoom), Clases Virtuales de Ingles: 7 p.m. Tuesday. This class is full and there is a waiting list. Advance egistration is required.

Write-In Wednesday (Zoom): 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Chat with other writers and talk about your project. Advance registration required.

Virtual Storytime: 10 a.m. Wednesday. Stories for kids and adults.

Exploring Google Drive: 1 p.m. Wednesday. Quick introduction to Google Drive and the popular services it houses.

Resumes for Beginners: 6 p.m. Wednesday. Join the library’s business and career specialist as he walks you through resume tips and best practices.

Once Upon a Pose, Fairytale Yoga: 10 a.m. Thursday. Weaving yoga poses through imaginary castles and magical woods. This program is for kids.

How to Tell Stories in Virtual Settings, part four (Zoom): 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Learn to perform well without feedback. Pre-registration required.
