Royals add pitching, outfield depth at trade deadline
The Kansas City Royals had depth at catcher with some even better prospects in the minor leagues. That allowed them to trade backup catcher Freddy Fermin to the San Diego Padres prior to Thursday’s trade deadline for a pair of right-handed pitchers.
