Resolutions held

Authorizing an intergovernmental cooperative agreement with the city of Kansas City, for a regional solution to detention capacity in Jackson County.

Resolutions passed

  Recognizing the “Share the Torch with Lily Ledbetter” event, honoring Lily Ledbetter’s steps toward creating an equal and fair workplace.

Authorizing renewal agreements for animal control/shelter services with the cities of Buckner, Greenwood, Levasy, Lone Jack, Sibley and Unity Village, for specified fees payable to the county.

Authorizing a first addendum to the Professional Services Agreement with Wilbur Smith Associates for engineering services in connection with the Intersection Improvement Phase 1, Blue Ridge Boulevard and Wornall Road Project for use by the Public Works Department, at an additional cost not to exceed $57,006.

Recognizing Kelsey Bass upon her selection to the 2009 Missouri Scholars 100 program.

Congratulating Elizabeth Behm on her recent designation as a National Merit Scholarship finalist.

Appropriating $7,150 from the fund balance of the 2009 General Fund for use by the Circuit Court for special prosecutors in 2009.

Awarding a 12-month contract, with two 12-month extension options, for reinforced concrete pipe and pre-cast boxes for use by the Public Works Department to Cretex Concrete Products Midwest, Inc., of Shawnee, Kan.

Authorizing an agreement to extend the memorandum of understanding with Local Union No. 42 of the International Association of Fire Fighters through May 31.
