Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 31, 2010, at the First Baptist Church in Harrisonville, under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.  

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. on Monday at the church.  Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Mo.

Louise was born December 20, 1929, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of Robert H. and Vina Elafair (Yates) Stewart.  She graduated from high school in Borger, Texas.  She married William “Mack” Emanuel Roberts on June 5, 1952, in Miami, Okla.  She had lived in Independence, Missouri, for 26 years, where she raised her family and attended Calvary Baptist Church. She lived in the Warsaw, Missouri, area for 17 years and attended First Baptist Church of Warsaw.  When she moved to Harrisonville, she became a member of the First Baptist Church in Harrisonville.  

Louise worked as a key punch operator for Montgomery Wards in Kansas City, Mo., and later managed the catalog department.  She loved to play Bunko with the ladies at the Prairie View Addition.  She was very artistic and did detailed China painting.  She was also an accomplished seamstress.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Mack, on August 2, 2009.  She is survived by three sons, Eddie Roberts of Midland, Texas, Jeffery Roberts and his wife, Rebecca of Kearney, Mo., and Drew Roberts and his wife, Karen of Harrisonville, Mo.; two daughters, Kaylene Kemper and her husband, Kemp of Abilene, Texas, and Vickie Vaughn of Harrisonville, Mo.; one brother, Rev. Robert H. Stewart, Jr. and his wife, Wanda of El Paso, Texas; two sisters, Earlene Jones of Midland, Texas, and Bobbie Jean Stewart of Abilene, Texas; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
