A new junior high school is to be erected on a site at 28th Terrace and Hardy according to the Kansas City Board of Education. The building is planned for 1,200 junior high school students and is designed to be expanded later into a senior high school for 1,800 students. The new school will be on the same street with the Tom Korte school and the North Rock Creek building. This area, formerly the Rock Creek School District, became a part of the Kansas City district in 1957.
