Brenda Kay Johnson, 67, Blue Springs, Mo., passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012, at her home.

Brenda Kay Johnson, 67, Blue Springs, Mo., passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012, at her home.

Brenda was born November 21, 1944, in Albemarle, N.C., the daughter of William P. and Edith (Gudger) Sinclair. She retired from ADCO in 1996. Brenda was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed cooking, baking and entertaining family and friends. Brenda was preceded in death by her brothers, Roger and Jerry Sinclair.

Survivors include her loving husband, William Johnson; sons, Wesley Smith, Keith Smith and wife, Gloria, and Randy Smith and wife, Audra; daughters, Susie Smith and husband, Gary, Lonna Hagenbucher and husband, Keith, Cindy Johnson and Lisa Freed; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Judy Hill.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Mount Washington Cemetery.
