Betty Louise Herman, 77, of Blue Springs, Mo., passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Betty Louise Herman, 77, of Blue Springs, Mo., passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Betty was born September 7, 1934, in Jackson County, Mo., to James Marshall and Glendola (Sandridge) Hall. She was united in marriage with Darrow Herman on June 16, 1955, who preceded her in death. She and Darrow spent much of their lives farming. She was a Christian by faith, and a member of UDC, DAR, Magna Carta, Jamestown Society, and 1812. In addition to her husband, Darrow, she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bill Hall.

She is survived by her sons, Stephen Herman and wife, Rose, of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Kurt Herman of Brunswick, Mo.; daughter, Karla B. Herman of Billings, Mont.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Betty will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St., Blue Springs, Mo., 816-229-3276. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Blue Springs Cemetery.
