Raytown standout Jessica Herrmann scored two goals and assisted on another in leading the Blue Jays past visiting Blue Springs Monday.

Beka Lowrey and Bailey Hensley scored the goals for Blue Springs (0-3-1).

Lowrey’s goal in the third minute gave the Wildcats a 1-0 lead. Raytown (4-0) then scored the next four goals for a safe 4-1 halftime advantage.

“We came out extremely flat in the first half and could not recover,” Grain Valley coach Aleana Balistreri said. “We played better in the second half but we were forced to take more risks since we were down a goal. O’Hara played faster and smarted than us.”

The Eagles (2-2) play again Wednesday.
