On TV: ‘Terra Nova’ on Fox at 8 p.m. EDT/ 7 p.m. CDT
Tonight is the two-hour series premiere of “Terra Nova.” In the year 2149, Earth is overdeveloped and overcrowded, with the majority of animal and plant life extinct. Scientists select a skilled community of people to travel back to prehistoric times with the task of securing the future of the human race.
Trending topic: Johnny Appleseed
“Johnny Appleseed” is trending because today is his birthday. Born in 1774, his real name was John Chapman, and it is said he planted apple seeds wherever he went so apple trees were everywhere and no one was hungry, according to AppleJuice.org. After 200 years, some of those trees still exist.

1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
