Rufus Stewart, a convict who escaped six months ago from the Oklahoma State Prison at McAllister, was captured in this county by Spencer Salisbury and W.W. Twyman, constable and deputy constable, respectively, of Blue Township. Stewart was working as a farm hand at home of James H. Jones, two miles from Buckner. Stewart, formerly of the Atherton area, had served only 45 days of a two year term for breaking into a box car.
