Some less-experienced players got their shot at a varsity tournament for the Grain Valley boys golf team Wednesday.
The Eagles shot 374 as a team in the Higginsville Invitational – a tournament with a twist.
Kaleb Graham shot 86 in individual competition. Mitch Jacobson and Jordan Schefers teamed to shoot 104 in the best ball competition, while Chris Johnson and Chris Heeter teamed to shoot 84 in the scramble.
“We took some new guys today so they could gain some varsity experience,” Eagles coach Andy Herbert said. “This tournament has a unique format and is always fun for our players to participate in.”
