The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office participated in the Run for the Wall event once again. The event, held annually, is to pay tribute to those who died or are missing from the Vietnam War.

Nearly 20 members of law enforcement from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Missouri State Highway Patrol met at Interstate 670 and Genessee in Kansas City, where they joined nearly 500 motorcycles and escorted them to St. Louis, according to a press release issued by the department.

The escort began at approximately 11 a.m. Monday.
