“Overall, I was very pleased,” Fort Osage coach Andrew Fletcher said. “We played some really good soccer and dominated the game. We created a lot of chances. Defensively, we were very good. We have allowed only one goal so far.”

The winless Wildcats had only two shots on goal in falling to Raymore-Peculiar 4-0 Tuesday night in the Suburban Big Six opener.

PARK HILL 2, TRUMAN 0: The Truman girls soccer team suffered a “tough” 2-0 loss to Park Hill on Tuesday.

The Patriots kept the game close until the very end when Park Hill scored with 3 seconds remaining for the final tally.

“We played extremely hard tonight and gave ourselves a chance to win the game,” Patriots coach Jared Byrne said.

Byrne said his team played great defense and just ran out of gas when their scoring opportunities finally arose.
