Steve Moore will return to Truman High School at 6 p.m. tonight to take part in a University of Missouri barnstorming tour that will feature the Truman grad and former Tigers center.

Moore and other University of Missouri seniors will play a team of area collegiate and high school standouts.

The game will be played at 7 p.m. in the Truman High School gymnasium. From 6 to 7 p.m., the players will be available for autographs and photos.

Tickets are $10, and are only available at Truman High School.

“The tickets will be available here at the high school” Truman activities director Eric Holm said earlier this week, and if we have any left, they will be available at the door.

“But with Steve coming back to Truman and some of the other players who will be participating in the game, we are expecting a big crowd.”

Expected to join Moore – the former Examiner Player of the Year who led the Patriots to the final four in 2008 – are Marcus Denmon, Matt Pressey and Kim English.

Former Truman center Simon Morefield, who is now an assistant basketball coach for the Patriots, is recruiting former area standouts to take on the Tiger players.

Scheduled to appear are former UMKC standout Michael Watson, Casey Dudek and Truman senior Zach Large.
