Wendell Wray “Wick” Morton, 85, of Independence, Mo., passed away Monday, April 23, 2012.

Mr. Morton was born on October 26, 1926, in Pittsburg, Kan., to parents William Oliver and Eleanor Faye (Gilbreath) Morton. He served in the Army during World War II. “Wick” will be missed by many, and forever loved by all.

He leaves behind daughter, Debbie Thederahn; son, Danny Morton; son, Del Morton; daughter, Carrie Heil; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation for “Wick” will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Services will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel. Burial at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens, Independence, Mo.
