Elizabeth Arline Jensen, 64, died peacefully at her home with her two children by her side on Monday, May 27, 2013.

Liz and her husband, Charles, owned and operated the first Papa Murphy’s pizza store in the Kansas City area and expanded to include three others. Liz grew up in southern California and graduated with honors from CA State College Long Beach. She will be remembered for her amazing sense of humor and infectious laugh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Neff in 2011.

She is survived by her mother, Dora Grusd, and her brother, Curt Parker, both of Victorville, Calif.; her son, Damian Jensen of Kansas City, Mo.; her daughter, Heather Jensen and husband, Rob Shewell, Independence Mo.; and three grandchildren, Chaya, Ariel and Cort.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers from Kansas City Home Care for their services to Liz over the past two years. It is deeply appreciated.

A celebration of Liz’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 31, at the Elks Lodge, 100 N.E. Brizendine Road, Blue Springs, Mo. Please wear bright colors. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to Crossroads Hospice or the American Cancer Society. Cremation.
