As rain moves back into the forecast for a few days, there’s a slight risk of severe weather this afternoon and evening.

The National Weather Service says a frontal boundary has stalled on a line from Kansas City to Sedalia, and that could mean isolated thunderstorms along and south of that line after 4 p.m. Thunderstorms could bring large hail and damaging winds. More storms could roll in from Kansas this evening.

It’s supposed to stay fairly warm, but the chances of rain are 20 percent this afternoon, 50 percent this evening and 40 percent Thursday and Thursday night. Highs at or near 80 are expected through Sunday, with lows of 60 or slightly lower. Sunny skies are expected Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
