Corey Heath tied for seventh place overall, as Grain Valley finished fourth in the Oak Grove Invitational Thursday.

Heath shot 85 at par-72 Bent Oak Golf Club.

Teammate Kaleb Graham shot 92, while Nick Andrews added a 94. Brandon Booth shot 95.

“I was a little disappointed with our score,” Eagles coach Andy Herbert said. “We had a goal at the beginning, but didn’t reach it. The kids learned something and next time we hope to meet the goal.”

Oak Grove finished sixth with a 389. Marc Day led the way with 92, while Boomer Salley and Tanner Walker each shot 97.

“This is not the day we were hoping for,” Oak Grove coach Bob Glasgow said. “Looking at the boys’ scorecards, we need to work heavily on putting. We had way too many three putts.”

FORT OSAGE 184, CENTER 236: Kodey Divers led the Indians golf team as match medalist shooting 42 at Winterstone Golf Course, a par 36 course.

Jordan Lewis and John Rimmer shot 46 for the Indians. Tyler Hedges also shot a 50 for Fort Osage.

“I was happy with how the kids kept the ball in play,” Fort Osage coach Roger Hunt said. “Kodey was real solid with his 42.”

The Fort Osage junior varsity team beat Center 231-297. Zach Muzingo and Eric Hansen shared medalist honors shooting 54.
