In keeping with the proclamation issued by the President of the United States and that of our Governor of the State of Missouri, I, Mayor Llewellyn Jones, proclaim and announce November 30, 1911, as Thanksgiving Day. It is suggested that our citizens cease from their accustomed duties, forget the strife, the discord and the bickerings of our busy life which it seems we are forced to live, and to give the day over to rest, recreation and thanksgiving.
