To the editor:

I have a grandson who is out of work. He has put applications in all the places, answered all ads, has called every day, sometimes twice a day, but so far no one has returned his.

Why do these companies put ads and notes on their door and when you put in applications, that’s how far it goes? All he is getting is the runaround. He has been out of work two and a half weeks, and he and his girlfriend live with me. She is pregnant, and they help me a lot. I don’t know how I will get some bills paid, now that water and electric have gone up and up. How does one live without help? My grandson is so upset because he has no job. What now?
